Internal Complaints Committee (Women's Safety)

Mandate

To provide a safe, harassment-free campus for women students, faculty and staff, in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and applicable AICTE / UGC regulations.

    Prevent sexual harassment through awareness, orientation and visible signage across campus.

  • 02

    Provide a confidential, victim-sensitive channel for reporting complaints.

  • 03

    Conduct fair, time-bound inquiries in line with the POSH Act.

  • 04

    Recommend disciplinary or protective action to the Principal where warranted.

Functions & Responsibilities

    Receive and register complaints of sexual harassment in strict confidence.

  • F2

    Complete inquiry proceedings within 90 days as mandated under the POSH Act.

  • F3

    Conduct annual gender-sensitisation workshops for students and staff.

  • F4

    Submit an annual report to the District Officer as required under the Act.

Meetings & Reporting

Meets quarterly and within 7 days of any complaint; annual report filed with the District Officer under the POSH Act.
