MSC001 Azure Administrator (AZ-104) Experience with virtualization, networking, identity, and storage; on-prem virtualization (VMs, virtual networking, virtual hard disks); TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and encryption; Active Directory concepts (users, groups, RBAC); backup and disaster recovery basics.
MSC002 Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400) Understanding of cloud computing concepts (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS); expertise in Azure administration or Azure development; version control, Agile development, and core software development principles.
MSC003 Azure Developer (AZ-220) At least one year of experience developing scalable solutions; skill in at least one cloud-supported language (course focuses on C#, .NET, HTML, REST); basic understanding of Azure/cloud concepts or Azure Fundamentals; basic knowledge of PowerShell and/or Azure CLI and Visual Studio.
MSC004 Azure Data Scientist (DP-100) Basic Python coding; SQL basics; familiarity with Jupyter notebooks; basic understanding of AI/ML concepts; basic statistics (mean, median, SD, variance); knowledge of R is optional.
MSC005 Azure AI Engineer (AI-102) AI Fundamentals (AI-900) and Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
MSC006 Azure Data Engineer (DP-203) Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Data Fundamentals (DP-900); strong knowledge of a data-processing language such as SQL, Python, or Scala.
MSC007 Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Familiarity with cloud computing is helpful; no formal prerequisite.
MSC008 Data Fundamentals (DP-900) Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900); familiarity with basic data concepts such as spreadsheet tables and data visualization.
MSC009 AI Fundamentals (AI-900) Open to both technical and non-technical backgrounds; prior data science or software engineering experience is not required, though helpful.
MSC010 Cyber Security Fundamentals Hands-on exposure to Windows Server, Windows-based networking, Active Directory, anti-malware products, firewalls, network topologies/devices, and network ports.
MSC011 Intro Programming using Python Ability to read and write syntactically correct Python; familiarity with Python data types and basic problem-solving logic.
MSC012 Intro to Programming using Java Suited to application developers working with Java 6 SE or later, or students/entry-level developers with a software development background.
MSC013 Desktop Administrator (Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) Experience deploying, configuring, securing, and managing Windows 10 and non-Windows devices; familiarity with Microsoft 365 workloads.
MSC014 Mobility and Device Fundamentals Hands-on experience with Windows devices, Windows-based networking, Active Directory, anti-malware products, firewalls, network topologies/devices, and network ports.
MSC015 Full Stack Development At least one year of experience developing with HTML in an object-based, event-driven model; JavaScript, C#, and ASP.NET MVC knowledge; familiarity with Azure Web Apps.
MSC016 Software Development Fundamentals Hands-on familiarity with core development technologies, ideally with some experience in C# or Visual Basic .NET.
MSC017 Database Fundamentals Introductory knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server; hands-on familiarity recommended, though prior job experience is not assumed.
MSC018 HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals Solid foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for building client applications on touch-enabled devices.
MSC019 Networking Fundamentals General networking concepts; hands-on experience with Windows Server, Windows-based networking, network management tools, DNS, TCP/IP, name resolution, and network protocols/topologies.

MSC021 Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) Understanding of security best practices (defense in depth, least privilege, RBAC, MFA, zero trust); familiarity with VPN, IPSec, SSL, and encryption; experience deploying Azure workloads; familiarity with Windows/Linux and scripting (PowerShell, CLI).
MSC022 Windows Server Administration Fundamentals Familiarity with Windows machine concepts, on-premises basics, and user/entity management.
