Anti-Ragging Committee

Mandate

To eliminate ragging in all its forms from the campus and hostels, in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, and to ensure a safe, dignified environment for every student.

    Create awareness among students and parents about the prohibition and consequences of ragging.

  • 02

    Maintain round-the-clock vigilance in hostels, canteens and common areas during the settling-in period.

  • 03

    Provide an accessible, confidential channel for reporting incidents.

  • 04

    Take prompt and appropriate action on any confirmed instance of ragging.

Functions & Responsibilities

    Collect signed anti-ragging affidavits from every student and parent at admission.

  • F2

    Operate the anti-ragging helpline and monitor the institutional complaint box.

  • F3

    Investigate complaints jointly with the Anti-Ragging Squad and submit findings to the Principal.

    File the mandatory affidavit and compliance report on the UGC anti-ragging portal each year.

Meets at the start of every academic year and immediately on receipt of any complaint; compliance report filed annually with UGC.
