To ensure a ragging-free environment in the college and to take strict action against those found guilty of ragging or abetting ragging.
2.1 The college will conduct orientation programs for fresher's to make them aware of the anti-ragging policies and the consequences of ragging.
2.2 Posters, banners, and notices highlighting anti-ragging laws and the college's stance against ragging will be displayed prominently across the campus.
3.1 At the time of admission, every student and their parent/guardian will be required to submit an affidavit stating that the student will not indulge in ragging.
3.2 Senior students will also submit an affidavit at the beginning of each academic year stating they will not participate in or promote ragging.
4.1 An Anti-Ragging Committee will be formed, comprising faculty members, non-teaching staff, senior students, and freshers as per the statutory body.
4.2 The committee will be responsible for ensuring compliance with anti-ragging measures and addressing any ragging incidents.
4.3 Surprise checks in hostels, canteens, and other common areas will be conducted regularly.
5.1 A dedicated email will be set up for reporting ragging incidents.
5.2 The identity of the complainant will be kept confidential to protect them from any backlash.
6.1 Any student or group of students found guilty of ragging will be immediately suspended pending a full investigation.
6.2 The college will provide counseling and support to the victim.
7.1 The Anti-Ragging Committee will conduct a thorough investigation of the reported incident.
7.2 Statements from the victim, the accused, and any witnesses will be recorded.
7.3 CCTV footage, if available, will be reviewed.
8.1 Students found guilty of ragging will face strict penalties, which may include:
Expulsion from the college.
Withholding of scholarships or benefits.
Debarring from appearing in exams or representing the college in any event.
Filing of a criminal case against the guilty.
8.2 The punishment will be decided based on the severity of the incident and the recommendation of the Anti-Ragging Committee.
9.1 The college will provide counseling and support to victims of ragging to help them overcome the trauma.
9.2 Awareness and sensitization workshops will be conducted regularly to educate students about the ill effects of ragging.
10.1 The Anti-Ragging Committee will meet regularly to review the effectiveness of anti-ragging measures and suggest improvements.
10.2 Feedback will be taken from students, especially fresher's, to understand the ground reality and make necessary changes.
The AICTE and the Indian government provide recommendations for the formation of a committee.
Most senior staff members have formed an anti-ragging committee.
The Contact Number of the Anti ragging squad and committee will be displayed at all notice boards.
Students can lodge complaint by online or offline mode.
Ragging education and prevention activities, such as skits and role-plays, workshops will be conducted.
Inappropriate ragging sanctions should be displayed in the right areas.
A plan will be devised by the Anti-Ragging Squad to keep track of all times and locations where ragging is likely to occur.
All first-year students in the hostel will be housed on the ground floor.
The canteen will have separate hours for first-year students and the remainder of the years of students.
